The under water hull has now been cleaned off back to the top layer of epoxy protection coating
and a further to be sure double coat of international gell shield epoxy applied. The keels having been epoxy tarred are now given a few coats of Primacon to resist bleed thru of the epoxy onto the Antifoul.
After re masking the water line, four coats of white Trilux boot topping is applied
After re stepping the mast and having a look at the fore sails it was clear that they would not stand any sort of a blow so a board room ecision was made to invest in a headsail reefing/furling gear from Plastimo type 608s. We are hoping that a genoa supplied by a friend at the club will get us by for this season.....hope it fits the new spar!
The 608s was purchased from Seateach at a price that beat all other suppliers and was delivered within 24 hours of order...wow.
