 Marion on her knees again!
New front window fitted, now she can see where she is heading!
Now that Matrona Maris is shipshape again we have passed her on to Proud new Owners, Barry and Linda. May they have all the pleasure that we have enjoyed with her

When Your beloved Westerly is laid up for the winter, why not collect and read some of Denys Rayner's books!

My favourite is Escort...an equal to the Cruel Sea and written by a man that was there.

Safety in small craft and small boat sailing gives a good insight into Rayner's thinking of solid sea worthy yachts from a designer that has sea and its respect in his blood.
The Enemy below has been made into a film in the US and is available on DVD from Amazon.

The long fight is a good account of warfare under sail, very well researched.

Good luck with your collection

She was so good we have bought her BACK

We have now sold the westerly Tempest to a true  racer chap in Scotland and have now just re purchased Matrona from the guy we sold her to 2 years ago. She has seen no use but laid in a mud Berth for past 2 years. On next spring tide we will extract her from the mud and take her to fleetwood marina for a good wash and scrub. Watch this site for more info.

After all the hard work Matrona is now ready for a new owner to enjoy. We are now very pleased that we have found a new owner for Matrona and that she will be staying in the Marina. We wish them all the best and many sea miles of good sailing.

if anyone is interested in the work we have done on the w25 please drop me an email to dave@easymarine.co.uk

A nice chap was admiring our Westerly 25 in the Yard last week and he said he was considering putting his Westerly Tempest up for sale as she has seen no use for past 4 years!. I said what price are you thinking of........we are now the proud owner of 2 westerlies but the W25 will have to go...now on sale For £4,500 on boats and outboards......what a shame after all the hard work and attention but the new boat will be a larger cottage in Scotland despite the higher berth fees.

The crane driver said the boat is on the dial at just over 4 tons!! We know she is solid but that is more than a centaur? If true that has put paid to building a trailer and towing with camper van. looking for a strong pair of Bathroom scales.
